Aldie Hunt
Location, Luxury, Lifestyle
An exclusive community of 3 to 6 acre wooded and open home sites with prices starting in the high $500’s. Aldie Hunt is surprisingly close to shopping, schools and work. Located in Loudoun County, near the village of Aldie in a gap between the Catoctin Mountain and Bull Run Mountain through which the Little River flows. Surrounded by open fields and woodlands, stone fences and estate homes, Aldie Hunt reflects the historic and gentrified Virginia lifestyle of the Piedmont.
Today the surrounding countryside of Aldie Hunt is as much about steeplechase and foxhunting as those equestrian pursuits that have their roots in the Civil War when the Confederate partisan John Singleton Mosby was active in the village, and several small skirmishes between Union cavalry and his band of cavalry rangers took place in and around Aldie.
Aldie is home to several historic shops, homes, and the Aldie Mill, which survives today as Virginia's only known gristmill powered by twin overshot water wheels. In Colonial times, the village of Aldie was one of three or four other burgeoning communities in Loudoun, including nearby Middleburg, Waterford and Leesburg. Today it hosts an annual Harvest Festival in October.
Come home to conveniently located Aldie Hunt and be a part of the heritage, luxury and lifestyle.
