High Ridge Custom Homes was founded by Jay Swigart.  Through his 40 years in the home building business as both a contractor and a builder, Mr. Swigart has built all types of homes from the starter condominium to the luxury estate.  It is this experience that has driven Jay to focus on building homes that exceed building and energy code requirements to meet the changing demands of today’s consumer.  Quality, attention to detail, and efficient are just some of the words used to describe the homes built by Jay and his team over the years. 

Experience has taught Jay that building a quality product for the customer does not mean it should cost more.  High Ridge Custom Homes has offset the lack of volume buying power with savvy purchasing practices as well as in-house labor to keep costs down for our customers.  It is not surprising to see upgraded trim, windows, cabinets or brick facades at the same or lower price than some of our competitors. 
In response to the growing demands for homes that are “Green,” High Ridge Custom Homes has teamed up with the United States Green Builders Council (USGBC) and their Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for homes, as well as, ENERGY STAR®. These two federally funded organizations have developed cutting edge guidelines for residential construction. Here at High Ridge Custom Homes, we also believe that “Green” does not have to cost the customer more in their monthly bills as well.  Through the use of construction efficiencies, site preparation, waste management, and some well appointed “green” products, we can build every home to a LEED certified level that costs about the same per month as other homes on the market.  In addition, the homes we build will maintain a better re-sale value as homes that are not built “eco-friendly” will become obsolete.  As home building technologies evolve, we will investigate each and every new innovation to make sure we build the best home possible at a reasonable price.  Resources such as fuel, electricity and water are in limited supply.  It is the responsibility of each person to do what is necessary to reduce our carbon footprint on this planet so our grandchildren and their grandchildren can live healthy lives.
